Training and Development

In a recent survey by Gallup the conclusion was that most training doesn’t really work, or at best it produces a partial return. Their studies demonstrated in order to obtain real employee motivation personal values needed to be expressed at work, the environment should foster a strong social and emotional base and the work itself needed to carry significance.

The survey also pointed out interestingly that people don’t leave their job they leave their boss!

However, training and development can work when technical skills and leadership abilities are connected to personal development and genuine buy-in to the vision.

PCL programmes are designed from a 4 point success principle:

  • Conditions for high performance
Winning and an unreasonable results focus
  • Creating deviant winning attitudes
Selecting people who have the special skills to make a prolific impact
  • Unbridled commitment and enthusiasm
Embeds the attitude that is the culture of the individual, the group and the end game
  • Resurgent Vision
Moving on, reinventing the next mission and the self concept

This four step process increases employee motivation and commitment.
