What creates a super hero?

Super Hero's have populated all cultures globally from Zeus to Catwoman. Many biblical figures could also be taken into this context when viewed as powerful myths.

One of my favourites is Batman - because he has to deal with edge. His Batman superhero presence was formed when as his alter ego Bruce Wayne he witnessed the death of his parents. So, his crusading had dark beginnings. It is ability to use the darkness of such a trauma as fuel for justice that marks him out as very human. The ability to identify and channel our dark sides is a challenge to us all and a key component of Inner Leadership.

Resilience, Well-being and High Performance

Many companies separate well-being from high performance which is a strange view. When making complex decisions under pressure if well being is not experienced (and by that mean we mean feeling relaxed, physically comfortable and mentally alert) in the words of the song "there could be trouble ahead."

executives have to deal with stress every day - often several times a day and if they have not got past the coping stage then the thinking they are using to make decisions might be fallible.

We talk about Inner Leadership a lot. because your ability to manage or master you autonomic nervous system is the difference between managing your stress or your stress managing you.
